Smart Travē is offering discounted travel eSIM data packages for Filipinos traveling abroad during the holiday season, with the service covering more than 100 destinations, according to Smart.
Smart Travē is a travel connectivity app backed by Smart that allows users to purchase and activate international eSIM data packages through a compatible device. The company also highlights access to Smart customer support while users are abroad.
Holiday eSIM data packages
The current offers listed by Smart include the following data packages:
- 3GB — US$5.75, reduced from US$10
- 10GB — US$12, reduced from US$20
- 1GB — US$3
The release’s headline states discounts of up to 43%, while its opening statement describes the promotion as offering up to 40% off. The listed 3GB price represents a 42.5% reduction from its stated original price, while the 10GB package is reduced by 40%.
The 1GB package is listed at US$3 in the release, but the original price is not provided in the same announcement.
Designed for international travel
Smart Travē is intended to provide mobile data access for travelers without requiring them to purchase a physical SIM card at their destination or rely on public Wi-Fi.
According to Smart, travelers can use mobile connectivity for common travel-related tasks such as navigating with maps, booking rides, checking flight and transportation information, accessing hotel reservations and digital boarding passes, and using translation tools.
The service can also be used for messaging, video calls and social media while traveling.
For travelers who become separated from family or companions in airports, tourist attractions or shopping areas, Smart says mobile connectivity can also make it easier to communicate and coordinate.
How Smart Travē works
The process involves selecting a destination through the app, choosing a data package, completing the purchase and activating the eSIM on a compatible device.
Smart Travē is available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Smart says the service supports more than 100 destinations worldwide, including Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and destinations in Europe.
Smart highlights customer support
Smart also points to local customer support as part of the service. Unlike generic travel eSIM providers, the company says Smart Travē users can contact the Smart hotline while abroad if they require assistance.

The discounted Smart Travē rates are being offered through the Smart Travē app for the holiday travel season.
Travelers can download the app through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, select their destination and choose from the available eSIM data packages.
