Globe Network Posts Strongest 2026 Performance in August, DICT Report Shows

Globe recorded its highest overall network score and fastest average download speed of 2026 in August, according to the latest Telco Report Card from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Globe received an overall score of 81.5, an increase of 4.4 points from January. Its average download speed reached 45.9 Mbps, up 5.1% from July and 26% from the 36.5 Mbps recorded at the beginning of the year.

Network Quality Score Also Improves

The report showed Globe’s network quality score increasing from 69.2 to 71.2 during the period.
Network latency remained at 20 milliseconds, according to the figures provided in the report.
The results come as the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) continues to work with telecommunications providers on service quality and connectivity improvements.
Globe Reports ₱26.3 Billion in 2026 Capital Expenditures
Globe said it invested ₱26.3 billion in capital expenditures during the first half of 2026, with 91% allocated to data-related initiatives.
The company also cited network consistency data from Ookla Speedtest Intelligence, which it said resulted in recognition as the Most Consistent Mobile Provider for four consecutive periods covering the second half of 2024 through the first half of 2026.
Automated Outage Response Technology
Globe is also using automated network systems to maintain connectivity during service disruptions.
According to the company, its Automated Outage Response technology can retain up to 50% of data connectivity during outages, compared with less than 10% without the system. The technology automatically adjusts nearby cell sites during disruptions.
The reported figures are based on Globe’s comparison of connectivity with and without the automated system.
Connectivity Expanded to 52 GIDAs
Globe said it activated mobile connectivity in 52 previously unserved Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) in July.
The activations completed the company’s commitment to provide services across all 180 project locations under the DICT connectivity initiative.
The expansion covers areas identified as having limited or previously unavailable mobile connectivity.
