September 4, 2026 — vivo showcased the telephoto capabilities of the vivo X300 Ultra during NBA House Philippines, where attendees participated in an imaging challenge involving distant subjects.
The two-day NBA House Philippines event was held from August 29 to 30 at SPACE at One Ayala. The event brought together basketball, fashion, music, and entertainment, with appearances from basketball figures Jason Kidd, Lauren Jackson, and Tony Parker.
As one of the event partners, vivo included the X300 Ultra in an imaging activity that allowed participants to test its long-range photography setup.
X300 Ultra paired with 400mm-equivalent telephoto extender
Participants were instructed to locate specific subjects around the venue and capture them within a limited amount of time.
The challenge used the vivo X300 Ultra paired with the 400mm-equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra. Participants had to identify their assigned subjects, frame them from their positions, and take the photo within seconds.
The 400mm-equivalent extender is an optional accessory for the X300 Ultra. According to vivo’s specifications, the extender provides 4.7x magnification and uses a 14-element optical design.
The X300 Ultra itself includes an 85mm-equivalent ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera with a 200MP sensor, while the 400mm-equivalent extender is designed to extend the phone’s reach for more distant subjects.
Telephoto photography in crowded venues
The activity demonstrated one practical use of longer focal lengths in crowded environments: framing distant subjects without having to move closer.
This can be relevant at venues such as sporting events and concerts, where physical movement may be restricted by crowds, seating arrangements, or barriers.
The X300 Ultra’s 85mm telephoto camera also supports 60fps autofocus tracking and 3-degree gimbal-grade optical image stabilization, according to vivo’s specifications.

The X300 Ultra uses vivo’s ZEISS Master Lenses Collection, which includes three primary camera focal lengths:

The 400mm-equivalent extender can provide an optical focal length equivalent to 400mm when attached to the X300 Ultra and used with the appropriate camera setting. vivo also lists the extender with 4.7x magnification, 14 lens elements, and CIPA 4.5 stabilization.
The phone’s 85mm telephoto camera features CIPA 7.0 stabilization, a 1/1.4-inch sensor, 200MP resolution, and 60fps autofocus tracking.
Event participants received prizes
Participants in the vivo Imaging Challenge received prizes that included a puffer bag, X80 Bluetooth speaker, and vivo Air Buds, according to the company.
The activity formed part of vivo’s participation in NBA House Philippines, using the X300 Ultra’s telephoto system as the focus of an interactive photography challenge.
