Globe Makes History with First-Ever Golden Arrow Hall of Fame Award: Five Consecutive Years of Five Golden Arrows Cement Leadership in Corporate Governance

Globe Telecom has received the first-ever Golden Arrow Hall of Fame Award from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) after earning Five Golden Arrows for five consecutive years. The recognition is based on the company’s corporate governance performance under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS).
The award recognizes publicly listed companies that meet the scorecard’s standards for areas including shareholder rights, transparency, sustainability, and board accountability.

Five Consecutive Years of Governance Recognition

Globe received Five Golden Arrows in the 2026 awards, marking its fifth consecutive year at the highest recognition level. According to the announcement, the distinction is reserved for publicly listed companies that achieve a score of at least 115 points.
The latest assessment follows an updated ACGS framework aligned with the G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance. The framework includes expectations relating to sustainability transparency, digital governance, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) integration.
Globe’s earlier corporate governance recognition dates back to 2012, when it was recognized at the Philippine Stock Exchange Bell Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance. The company has also received distinctions in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Awards and among top-performing publicly listed companies in the Philippines.
Corporate Governance and Accountability
Globe Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President for Legal and Compliance Marisalve Ciocson-Co said the recognition reflects the company’s continued efforts to incorporate governance principles and practices into its operations.
Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz also linked the company’s governance approach to shareholder rights, transparency, accountability, and responsibility toward customers.
Recognition Across the Ayala Group
The announcement also noted that Ayala Corporation and Bank of the Philippine Islands received Five Golden Arrows in 2026. All three companies are part of the broader Ayala Group.
For Globe, the Hall of Fame recognition marks five consecutive years of achieving the top rating under the corporate governance assessment. The company said it intends to continue emphasizing governance as part of its approach to responsible innovation and long-term business growth.
