Globe launches Scam Protect with Whoscall to give customers real-time defense against digital threats

Globe has launched Globe Scam Protect, a customer benefit that provides eligible subscribers with access to Whoscall Premium Basic for tools intended to help identify potential scams and other digital threats.
The service is powered by Whoscall’s scam intelligence database and provides features for screening suspicious calls and messages, verifying links, monitoring possible data leaks, and receiving scam alerts.

Whoscall Premium Basic offers

Through Globe Rewards, eligible customers can redeem Whoscall Premium Basic Individual offers based on their Globe service:
  • Globe Platinum: 12 months free for 2 devices
  • Globe Postpaid: 12 months free for 1 device
  • Globe Prepaid and TM: 1 month free for 1 device in exchange for 2 Globe Rewards points
The offers provide different durations and device coverage depending on the customer’s Globe account type.
How customers can redeem the benefit
New and renewing Globe Postpaid and Platinum customers can claim the offer through the GlobeOne app’s voucher pocket and redeem their Whoscall voucher.
Once activated, customers can access Whoscall’s protection and scam education features, which are intended to provide information that can help users assess potentially suspicious calls, messages, and links.

Globe Scam Protect is designed to address scams that can reach users through different channels, including calls, messages, links, websites, and other online platforms.
According to Globe, Whoscall’s database provides additional information that customers can use when deciding whether a communication or online activity may be suspicious. The company said Whoscall has recorded more than 2.2 million installs since its launch in 2023.
Eric Tanbauco, Head of Globe’s Consumer Mobile Business, said the service is part of Globe’s efforts to make digital safety tools more accessible to customers.
