vivo is expanding the role of its account system in the Philippines, giving users access to digital warranty information, device services, data backup tools, and a tiered membership program through a single account.
According to vivo, the vivo Account connects several services that users may need while owning a compatible device, including warranty management, cloud backup, repair support, and customer assistance.
Digital warranty and device services
One of the features available through a vivo Account is the E-Warranty Card. It allows users to view their warranty status and related policies digitally instead of relying solely on a physical warranty document.
The account also provides access to vivo Cloud and EasyShare for backing up photos, contacts, and messages and transferring data when moving to another vivo device.
For lost or stolen phones, vivo’s Find Hub feature can be used to remotely locate, lock, or erase a device.
Users can also use the account to book repairs, find service centers, and contact vivo support through Messenger, WhatsApp, and Live Chat. The company also provides self-service tools for testing, optimizing, and managing supported devices.
vivo Membership uses an EXP-based tier system
Activating a vivo Account also enrolls customers in the vivo Membership program. The program currently has three levels: Member, Silver, and Gold.
Membership status is based on accumulated EXP points. According to vivo, users earn:
- 1 EXP for every ₱1 spent on a phone
- 10 EXP per day for signing in to vivo.com
- 1,000 EXP for registering an account
The current membership classifications are:
- Member: 0–29,999 EXP
- Silver: 30,000–39,999 EXP
- Gold: 40,000 EXP and above
Higher membership levels come with additional service-related benefits.
Membership benefits vary by tier
The basic Member level includes one free screen protector per year, up to 12 maintenance and inspection services annually, mobile phone detection, free repair service, and free mail-in repair service. Members can also receive free shipping for purchases with a minimum spend of ₱1,000.
Silver members receive four free screen protectors per year, along with loaner phone service and free shipping for life.
Gold members receive six free screen protectors per year, priority customer service, a 10% discount on repair parts up to three times per year, loaner phone service, and free shipping for life.
The benefits and EXP requirements described above are based on vivo’s current membership information and may be subject to the company’s program terms.
How to activate a vivo Account
Users can activate their account through the vivo Store app on a vivo smartphone.
The activation process involves opening the app, selecting Me, signing in with a Google account or email address, and selecting Member to view the account and current EXP points.
vivo also says its Product Experts can assist with account registration and E-Warranty activation at its stores. The company estimates that the activation process takes around two to three minutes.
For existing vivo users, the account provides a centralized way to access warranty information, device support, backup tools, and membership services without managing each service separately.
