MANILA, PHILIPPINES — vivo is preparing to launch the vivo V80 Lite in the Philippines, with the smartphone featuring a 10,000mAh BlueVolt battery. The company says this is the largest battery capacity it has offered in a smartphone globally.
10,000mAh Battery Targets Longer Usage
The V80 Lite uses 4th Gen Silicon Anode Technology for its 10,000mAh battery. vivo says the technology is designed to increase battery capacity without adding the amount of bulk typically associated with batteries of this size.
According to vivo’s laboratory testing, the V80 Lite lasted up to 30 hours of video streaming, 30 hours of TikTok playback, 68 hours of phone calls, and 14 hours of MLBB gaming in single-app usage scenarios.
The tests were conducted under controlled laboratory conditions, with an ambient temperature of 25±2°C and the phone starting at 100% charge. These figures are based on vivo’s testing and may differ from results under typical usage conditions.
Battery Health Rated for 1,400 Charging Cycles
Beyond battery capacity, vivo says the V80 Lite is designed to retain at least 80% battery health after 1,400 charging cycles.
The company based its estimate of roughly seven years of use on a simulated daily usage pattern of approximately 1.83 days per full charge and discharge. This is a laboratory-based estimate rather than a guarantee of actual battery lifespan.
Designed for Use Across Different Temperatures
The V80 Lite is designed to remain functional between -30°C and 45°C. Its battery uses a semi-solid electrolyte, which vivo says is designed to provide stable power at higher temperatures.
In another vivo laboratory test conducted at 45°C, the phone lasted up to 45 hours of continuous calls and 16 hours of navigation.
