OPPO has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, showcasing the company’s continued progress in integrating sustainability into its corporate strategy, product development, and day-to-day operations. As its presence expands across more than 90 countries and regions, OPPO remains committed to building a healthier and more sustainable future through its five-pillar sustainability framework, which focuses on Operations and Compliance, Environmental Protection, Employee Well-being, Virtuous Innovation, and Ecosystem Engagement.
Advancing Green Products and Low-Carbon Operations
OPPO integrates green development across every stage of its business, from technological innovation and product research and development to manufacturing operations and supply chain collaboration.
As part of its commitment to green and low-carbon operations, OPPO conducts life cycle assessments (LCAs) for its smartphones to evaluate their environmental impact from raw material sourcing and manufacturing to logistics, product use, and end-of-life recycling. In 2025, the company completed LCAs for 23 smartphone models, helping drive the development of more environmentally responsible and lower-carbon product designs.
OPPO is also expanding its efforts to make product packaging more sustainable by increasing the use of recycled and low-plastic materials. In 2025, recycled wastepaper was incorporated into the packaging of all OPPO products, making up approximately 43% of the materials used for smartphone packaging. Beginning in Europe, the company also introduced paper-plastic alternatives made from plant fibers and recycled waste paper to replace conventional plastics. These eco-friendly materials accounted for around 14% of smartphone packaging materials used in the region during the year.
Beyond product innovation, OPPO continues to reduce carbon emissions throughout its operations and value chain while expanding the use of renewable energy. Over the past three years, the company has consistently lowered emissions from its own operations, with a further 1.22% reduction recorded in 2025. OPPO also completed a comprehensive Scope 3 emissions inventory covering 11 key categories, contributing to a 2.57% year-on-year decline in Scope 3 emissions. In addition, renewable electricity usage across its manufacturing facilities increased by nearly 70%, reinforcing the company’s commitment to long-term carbon reduction.

To promote greater digital inclusion, OPPO has integrated accessibility features into ColorOS, making its smartphones more accessible for users with visual, hearing, and motor impairments. In 2025, the company further enhanced more than 30 core ColorOS applications to improve accessibility across everyday use cases. For users with visual impairments, features such as TalkBack and Image Description convert on-screen content into audio, while tools like Magnification, Color Correction, and Color Inversion improve screen readability. Meanwhile, users with hearing impairments benefit from visual accessibility features, including speech-to-text transcription and flash notifications.
OPPO continues to integrate intelligent technologies across its product portfolio to promote healthier lifestyles. In 2025, the company officially opened the OPPO Fitness Health Laboratory in Binhaiwan, its largest sports and health research facility worldwide. The laboratory focuses on key areas including exercise science, cardiovascular health, sleep health, and lifestyle management.
