MANILA, PHILIPPINES — vivo has introduced the V70 FE in the Philippines, with the smartphone featuring a 200MP main camera, optical image stabilization (OIS), and AI-assisted zoom capabilities.
The company is positioning the camera system around capturing photos that can later be cropped or reframed for different uses. According to vivo, the high-resolution main camera is intended to retain more detail when users crop portions of an image after taking it.
200MP Main Camera With OIS
The vivo V70 FE uses a 200MP OIS Ultra-Clear Main Camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and vivo’s Ultra-Clear Imaging Engine.
The imaging system uses multi-frame synthesis and image-processing algorithms. vivo says the sensor can capture 42% more light than the V60 Lite. This figure comes from vivo’s own testing and has not been independently verified.
The 200MP resolution also allows users to crop a wider photograph after it has been taken. vivo demonstrated this with photos where a wider scene could be cropped to focus on people, buildings, or other details without having to retake the original shot.
The camera also supports CIPA 4.0-rated optical image stabilization. The OIS system is designed to compensate for hand movement during handheld photography.
AI 30x Super Zoom
For subjects farther away, the V70 FE includes AI 30x Super Zoom.
The feature uses the phone’s 200MP main sensor together with vivo’s Telephoto Enhancement and AI telephoto algorithms. According to vivo, cloud-based AI technology is also used to enhance images between 10x and 30x zoom.
The feature can be used to capture distant details such as artwork, buildings, or subjects across a street or venue.
vivo’s examples of longer-range zoom performance are based on the company’s own testing, rather than independent camera testing.
AI telephoto enhancement becomes available when the user reaches 10x zoom or higher. An on-screen prompt then appears, and the enhancement can be activated by tapping “Confirm.” An internet connection is required for the feature.
Availability and Price in the Philippines
The vivo V70 FE starts at ₱25,999 in the Philippines.
It is available through the vivo e-store, vivo Store app, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
According to vivo, customers who purchase through the vivo e-store or vivo Store app can also receive free vivo Buds.
