Anne Curtis explores Shanghai through vivo X300 Ultra’s lens

SHANGHAI, CHINA — Anne Curtis stepped out of the studio and into the vibrant streets of Shanghai, exploring two of the city’s most iconic destinations while showcasing the imaging capabilities of the vivo X300 Ultra. Joining her on the latest global campaign shoot was renowned fashion photographer BJ Pascual, bringing the smartphone’s photography prowess to life through every frame.
Set against the futuristic skyline of the North Bund and the historic Shikumen stone-gate lanes in Shanghai’s Huangpu District, the shoot showcased the city’s striking contrast between modern innovation and rich cultural heritage. The dynamic locations also provided the perfect backdrop for Anne Curtis to experience and capture the real-world imaging capabilities of vivo’s flagship camera smartphone.
One of the first locations on the itinerary was the Silver Egg at the North Bund, where Anne Curtis put the vivo X300 Ultra’s 200-megapixel 85mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera to the test, capturing striking long-distance shots of the iconic Oriental Pearl TV Tower.
Reviewing the image, she pointed out how the smartphone was able to tightly frame the landmark, showcasing its red circular rooftop. “This is how tight you can get. That’s crazy. Insane,” Curtis said after capturing the shot.
Inspired by classic street photography
Inspired by the enduring style of classic street photography, the vivo X300 FE offers built-in imaging modes such as ZEISS Natural and Black & White, enabling users to achieve timeless photographic looks straight out of the camera.
The ZEISS Natural profile recreates the charm of film photography with subtle grain and rich texture, while the Black & White profile enhances contrast, composition, and mood for timeless monochrome shots. Paired with customizable creative effects, these presets let users craft expressive images straight from the camera with little to no post-processing.
The shoot later shifted to Shikumen, a historic neighborhood renowned for its iconic stone-gate architecture and charming pedestrian lanes. Surrounded by beautifully preserved heritage buildings, Anne Curtis shared that the location offered more than just a picturesque setting—it provided a deeper connection to Shanghai’s rich history and cultural character.
“I really love where we’re shooting right now, which is considered like a heritage promenade, so I get to see a lot of heritage architecture, not only just see it but shoot alongside it,” she said.
Photographed by BJ Pascual, the campaign seamlessly blended fashion, travel, and street photography across two distinctly different locations, demonstrating how the vivo X300 Ultra effortlessly captured the unique character and contrasting beauty of Shanghai—all with a single device.
“Shanghai offers an incredible visual contrast between contemporary architecture and historic neighborhoods, making it an ideal setting to demonstrate what the vivo X300 Ultra is capable of in the hands of creators,” said vivo Philippines Brand Marketing Director Liu Lu. “The campaign reflects how today’s smartphone photography can adapt to different environments while preserving detail, depth, and perspective.”
The vivo X300 Ultra is vivo’s most advanced camera smartphone yet, engineered to deliver professional-grade photography across a wide range of shooting scenarios. Co-developed with ZEISS, it features a powerful imaging system that includes a 200-megapixel 85mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera, a 200-megapixel 35mm ZEISS Documentary Camera, and a 50-megapixel 14mm ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera.
