MLBB M5 Myanmar Qualifier commences on 14 September!

NAYPYIDAW, 8 September – The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M5 World Championship Myanmar Qualifier Regular Season officially kickstarts on 14 September 2023. Eight Burmese squads will fight for the biggest share of the prize pool worth USD 10,000 or MMK 21 million and a slot in the upcoming M5 World Championship in Manila, Philippines.

“It’s time for Burmese esports athletes to showcase their winning strategies in MLBB esports. With new teams formed this season to amp up the competition level, fans are in for a world of excitement to witness the crowning of the national representative to the upcoming M5 World Championship, stated Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystem, MOONTON Games. 

The Open Qualifiers round was held last 24 to 27 August 2023 wherein four teams namely 9K Miracle Gaming Esports, Team Mahar, Wrecking Crew, and Zino Esports bested 256 teams to secure their slots in the Group Stage. 

On the other hand, AI Esports, Falcon Esports, Burmese Ghouls, and Mythic Seal received direct invites to the Qualifiers. Iconic esports players Swan “Ruby DD” Aung, Pyae “Kenn” Ko, and Pyae “JustiN” Khant now join newly-founded team Mythic Seal. 

The Regular Season will run for four days and all teams will undergo best-of-three (Bo3) match series in a single round-robin format. The match stream starts at 13:00 (GMT+7). 

The top three teams from Group A and Group B will proceed to the Playoffs scheduled from 29 September to 1 October 2023, held in Yangon. More details will be shared soon. 

Starting from the Regular Season, popular MLBB gamer and streamer Gu Gu will hold streaming parties in Minyarzer Ward, Yangon.

The MLBB M5 Myanmar Qualifier is also supported by global smartphone brand TECNO. As the tournament’s official sponsor, TECNO will give away POVA 5 PRO smartphones to one lucky fan each tournament day during the Regular Season through the lucky draw.
