The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus is perfect for those who are looking for an affordable smartphone with premium features and that can last gaming for hours. The MediaTek MT6750T and the Mali-T860 GPU equipped on the ZenFone Max Plus even though not the most powerful processor and GPU, still can perform and handle games decently – this is perfect for casual gamers who play mostly 2D games or 3D games that aren’t too heavy on graphics.

If you are planning to buy one for yourself, here is a list of games as well as “underrated” games that we have also tried on the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) which you might want to try out as well.

With anime-styled characters, the RWBY Amity Arena has a similar gameplay with Clash Royale. It is a real-time strategy multiplayer game where the objective is to defend and of course break through the opponent’s defensive line to win. The game is all about building your deck of troops, and of course your strategy and timing in deploying them once inside the arena. Download Link – RWBY: Amity Arena

Sdorica Sunset is one of the underrated games found in the play store. It is popular only for those who have been a fan of the developer (Rayark International Limited). But of course, we want our readers to try it as well and be the judge if it is really worth trying. Sdorica Sunset is a story-telling role-playing game played on a side-scrolling setup. It is just a 2D game but with magnificent visuals and animations – you will surely immerse yourself while playing this game on the ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1). Download Link – Sdorica -Sunset-

Crusaders quest is another side-scrolling RPG but with a classic 8-bit retro feel. Its simple graphics and gameplay will surely take advantage of the Max Plus’ 4130mAh battery allowing you to play it longer. Download Link – Crusaders Quest

Cytus II was also developed and published by Rayark International Limited. It is already a second iteration of the game title and is one of the most popular rhythm games that you can find in the play store. I used to play this game while stuck in a heavy traffic. 😀 Download Link – Cytus II

Lastly, Ragnarok mobile. We’ve seen ASUS having this game as a demo on one of their devices during the launch of the ZenFone Max Plus back in January, the game was in the Chinese language back then but this time, with the recent SEA server release of the said game. We finally got to try it on our own and good news, as the ZenFone Max Plus was really able to run the game but of course some option must be set to medium to avoid stuttering while in-game. Still not bad for an entry-level gaming smartphone. Download Link – Ragnarok Mobile: Eternal Love (SEA Server)

Upon launching a game, don’t forget to toggle the full-screen mode via the game genie tool found in the navigation bar to take advantage of the ZenFone Max Plus’ 18:9 display!

So, did we manage to help you pick which game you should try next on your ZenFone Max Plus? Let us know in the comment section!

The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus is still available in some ASUS ZenFone Concept stores and ASUS Kiosk nationwide for only Php 7,995.
