It looks like ACER is trying to captivate Gamers who are searching for a new 4K Ultra HD HDR monitor. The preorders are now available online for pre-order price at $2,000 (PHP 104,995.00 ). It somehow resembles BenQ Zowie’s XL2546.
The Predator X27, much like the ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ that’s also coming soon, uses an AU Optronics IPS panel with Quantum Dot technology. Having a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate and 600 nits brightness that peaks at 1,000 nits. (Could be too much for the eyes.) You also get full 10-bit support with support for the wide DCI-P3 color gamut for maximum color accuracy, and a very rapid 4ms response time.
“Unrelenting perfection. It lives within every 4K screen, eager for the chance to push image quality beyond what’s expected. Experience something new. Something never before possible. Pushed to 144Hz1 on a 4K panel, the graphic goliath has finally arrived. Smooth, tear-free gaming is illuminated in the darker blacks and brighter lights of the G-Sync™ HDR display.”
For more information and full specifications jump over to the official Acer website by following the link below. The new 4K Ultra HD monitor measures 18.39″-22.64″ x 24.76″ x 14.75″ and ways just over 27lbs. Power consumption is EnergyStar Off 0.35W, EnergyStar Sleep 0.45W and EnergyStar On 68W.
The bezel surrounding the screen is pretty big and has the ‘Predator’ name along the bottom. On the back of the monitor, you’ll find four buttons for controlling the onscreen menu, which can be reached on the left-hand side facing the monitor. For ease of use, there is a joystick-like button there for choosing the options.
