Zenfone 3 To Have Snapdragon 820 Processor?

Computex is just days away and people just can’t wait on what will be the next generation of Zenfones, ASUS poured in a lot money in their smartphones by having not just one or two SKU’s but a lot to target every types of user. And also the constant updates in their OS, the ZenUI had drastically changed over time with tons of customization which is good but also bad because of the abundance of unnecessary bloatwares. Recently, Intel surrendered its mobile processors which supports the rumors that the Zenfone 3 will have the new Qualcomm processors instead. 2 weeks ago, an interview with a Taiwanese media, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen confirmed that the Zenfone 3 will have 3 different models: The Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 Deluxe which translates to: A flagship device with the most powerful processor, a Zenfone with high battery capacity and a Zenfone with an enormous memory storage. For the past Zenfone models, ASUS made it sure that it will have Intel Atom’s most powerful processor and without a doubt they will do the same when they switch to Qualcomm which strengthens the rumor about new flagship sporting a Snapdragon 820 processor.

Snapdragon 820 is the most powerful processor by Qualcomm, it features a second generation 14nm size transistor for battery efficiency and it is a quad core processor with Qualcomm’s in-house KRYO core design, running up to 2.2 GHz, that will help to balance the power consumption when using it with different mobile applications.
