Choosing the right smartphone doesn’t have to be on the specs and features only, you need to also consider the build and how it was designed. To be honest I’ve tried several brands and I can still recall my experiences when I was using them. I learned that for me, as a guy who’s a little bit careless needs a smartphone like this.
We had a hands-on experience on the latest 4.6-inch flagship smartphone from Sony and read on below our hands-on and first impressions:
The Z3 compact is probably one of the most solid smartphone that was ever built. Holding it with one hand feels very secure and gives you that sporty look when using it. You can touch the 4 corners of the screen with your thumb and at the same time, the 1280×720 resolution screen is just right for viewing entertainment. It retains the plastic build with tempered glass installed on the back and front. Nevertheless it still looks premium and stylish.
The Z3 Compact retains the similar looks with its bigger brother the Z3, it has rounded corners that gives it extra protection from accidental drops. With 8.6mm. it is not that thin compare to Z3’s 7.3mm. On the side you have the aluminum power button and a dedicated camera shooter so you can use it like a digital camera. All in all, the Z3 Compact is very minimalist in terms of design except for the magnetic dock connector that no one cares about really.
The bezels on the Z3 Compact are slim and intact, although the top and bottom part are quite big because of the front-facing speakers installed. I forgot to mention that this device is also waterproof and dustproof so you can use it for underwater photography.
Sony also boasts that the battery life of the Z3 Compact is outstanding, well if you read other review articles it seems that this is legit and not gimmicky. It is because of the trilluminos IPS display that makes it use less battery power for the screen display. You don’t have to worry about the 1280×720 720p display, with the 4.6-inch screen, the pictures and videos are still very clear and crisp, you can’t really tell the difference when you compare it to other devices that has FHD screen resolution.
Overall, the Z3 Compact is very simple in terms of design plus having the rugged look and build makes it a smartphone for people on-the-go.
